ENROLL IN OUR ESL PROGRAM
Whether you need to start at the beginning or just improve your English, Blue Ridge Literacy Council can help you learn to speak, read and write better.
Our program is unique in Henderson County. Classes and books are free You will have your own tutor or be in a group of 4 to 6 people at your same level Student and instructor meet two times each week Evening or daytime classes are available Emphasis is on learning English you need in your life
If you want to know more about our English as a Second Language Program you can: Come to our office from 9 to 4:30, Monday through Friday. Call us (696-3811). The best time to call is Wednesday from 1:00 to 5:00 when Sra. Oso is here, she speaks excellent Spanish. If you can’t call then, we have other people who speak some Spanish and can help you.
We will tell you about our program and answer your questions. Since there is a waiting list, we will take your name, phone number and address. Then, when the time to get a tutor is close, we will ask you to come in again. This time we will give you a short oral English test to determine the best materials and tutor for you. Next we will find a tutor and you will start your classes.
