Blue Ridge Literacy Council in the News

Below are links to a four-part series written by Jessica Goodman which ran in the Hendersonville Times-News in December, 2009. From reading the articles and watching the videos, you can get a real sense of the work done by our wonderful students and volunteers. The four articles introduce you to the many faces of adult literacy and show why literacy is so important to all of us. The editorial written by Bill Moss entitled "Literacy Can Affect Every Facet of Life" is a eloquent summary of the message of the series--a must-read for anyone interested in adult literacy and how it changes lives.
