| The
Hugh Lowry Extra Mile Award |
The
Extra mile Award is presented to a volunteer who takes on a special
project - one that takes expertise and talent that is not generally
available on a volunteer basis.
The
award is named for Hugh Lowry, who designed the Council's first
Student/Tutor and Fundraising databases in the mid 90's. Although
the Student/Tutor database has been replaced by a state mandated
one, the Fundraising database is still in use and serving us very
well.
